HOUSTON (AP) - Investigators are seeking the cause of death for a high school senior whose body was found in a Houston hotel just hours after she attended prom at the venue.
A medical examiner and Houston police on Sunday did not immediately return messages about the teen.
Police on Saturday morning were notified by the girl’s boyfriend that she was unresponsive in a room at the Hyatt North Houston. Detective Mike Miller says police do not believe the boyfriend contributed to the death.
The couple on Friday night attended prom at the hotel.
The girl attended MacArthur High School in the Aldine (AHL’-deen) Independent School District. A district official didn’t immediately return messages Sunday.
