Secretary of State John Kerry jabbed Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, while praising the diversity of Yale’s graduating class during a commencement address at the university on Sunday.

“You are graduating today as the most diverse class in Yale’s long history,” he said, CNN reported. “Or as they call it in the NBA, Donald Sterling’s worst nightmare.”

Mr. Kerry was the featured speaker at his alma mater’s Class Day during commencement weekend.

“None of our problems are without solutions,” he told students, The Hill reported. “But neither will they solve themselves.”

He urged students to refuse to “fall prey to the cynicisms and apathy that have always been the moral enemy of progress.”
