SEATTLE (AP) - A 7 year-old boy who fell into Whatcom Falls last week has died.

The Seattle Times reports (https://bit.ly/1jX9LKA ) that according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, Jaden Griffin died on Thursday, two days after he slipped on rocks and was pulled over the falls, a drop of about 30 feet.

He was recovered from the undertow about two hours later and initially reported as dead. But doctors said there might be a way to revive him because he’d been in cold water. They kept him on life support and transported him to Seattle Children’s Hospital.

The boy had been visiting the falls with his parents and a 5-year-old sibling. Police and hospital staff have not said where the family lives.
