Tommy Rees’ tryout with the Redskins didn’t last long.

Washington waived the former Notre Dame quarterback Saturday after two days of its rookie minicamp.

The Redskins also parted ways with safety Jose Gumbs, defensive lineman Chris Davenport and tight end Kevin Perry. Gumbs played in eight games for the Redskins last season, recording one interception.

The team added defensive lineman Frank Kearse, who appeared in two games with the Dallas Cowboys last season after seeing action in 14 games with the Carolina Panthers over the previous two years.

The Redskins also signed college free agents Blake Sailors (CB, Georgia), Courtney Bridget (CB, Hampton) and Ross Madison (S, Toledo).
