LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Police say a 9-year-old child was killed and four other people were injured when an SUV struck a van in Louisville.
According to The Courier-Journal (https://cjky.it/S4kJ62 ), Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said the vehicles collided Saturday morning.
The 9-year-old who died at the scene and three other people were in the van.
The driver of the van and an adult passenger were taken to University of Louisville hospital. A child in the same vehicle was transported to Kosair Children’s Hospital.
Smiley described their injuries as “serious to severe.”
The SUV’s driver was transported to University of Louisville hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
