EASTVALE, Calif. (AP) - Workers at a Riverside County warehouse will receive $21 million as part of the settlement of a lawsuit over wage and hour issues.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports (https://bit.ly/1gNBpVn ) Schneider Logistics, the Wisconsin-based company that operates a shipping facility in Eastvale, will pay the money to a class of workers who were employed between 2001 and 2013.

The settlement announced this week covers unpaid wages, penalties and interest.

Schneider Logistics ships goods to area Wal-Mart stores from the Eastvale warehouse.

Wal-Mart was allowed to be added to this lawsuit in January after a judge ruled the retailer has significant sway on Schneider’s daily decisions.

According to a statement by Warehouse Workers United, which supported the workers in the case, Schneider Logistics will pay the entire $21 million.
