IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - The University of Iowa is offering live streaming on its website of all 10 commencement ceremonies organized by the Office of the Registrar.
The university announced the move Thursday, saying it was the first time all the ceremonies would be live streamed. After the event, archival video of the ceremonies will be available.
Ben Hill, director of video services for the University Communication and Market, says the UI is streaming the video because officials know not all family, friends and other loved ones can make it to the various ceremonies.
The first live stream was Thursday, when the pharmacy college held its commencement ceremony.
More information about the steaming is available at the university’s website: www.uiowa.edu.
