MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Twins will honor longtime sports columnist and radio personality Sid Hartman this weekend.

The team has declared Sunday Sid Hartman Day at Target Field. Hartman will be honored during a pregame ceremony before the 1:10 p.m. game against the Seattle Mariners.

The first 10,000 fans who are 18 years old or older will receive a ceramic coffee mug featuring Hartman quotes throughout his career.

Hartman turned 94 in March. He has written for Minneapolis newspapers since the mid-1940s - his columns appear in the Star Tribune - and Hartman has been on WCCO-AM since 1955.

Before the game, Hartman and radio partner Dave Mona (MOH’-nuh) will host a live broadcast of “Sports Huddle with Sid and Dave” on Target Plaza from 9:30 a.m. until noon.
