NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Tulane University women’s basketball coach Lisa Stockton has received a contract extension through the 2018-19 campaign.
Director of Athletics Rick Dickson said Friday that Stockton will be at the helm when the program moves to the American Athletic Conference for the 2014-15 season. The move to the new league will be the university’s third with Stockton as head coach.
Stockton, who came to Tulane before the 1994-95 season, just finished her 20th season and has compiled a 416-204 overall record, four regular-season conference titles, five league tournament titles and 14 trips to the postseason.
Dickson says he has no doubt that as they move to the new conference July 1, Stockton will “once again have her program competing for a conference title and postseason play.”
