HILLSBORO, Ind. (AP) - State police say a semi-truck struck a bridge support Friday just north of Hillsboro, about 15 miles west of Crawfordville, closing Interstate 74 in both directions in western Indiana.

Police say the interstate was closed from the 15 mile mark of the interstate to the 25 mile mark after the support for the overpass of State Road 341 was struck.

State police say Indiana Department Transportation bridge inspectors are on scene. There is no estimate of when the interstate will reopen.
