GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - U.S. Sen. John Hoeven says aerospace and defense technology firm Northrop Grumman is on track to sign a lease to be the anchor tenant at the Grand Sky technology park at Grand Forks Air Force Base.

Hoeven says Grand Sky will make Grand Forks a leading center for the development and operations of unmanned aerial systems.

Hoeven says he also expects an Enhanced Use Lease between Air Force officials and Grand Forks County to be signed in June to establish Grand Sky on Grand Forks Air Base. Grand Sky will occupy 217 acres of the base.

Last December, the FAA selected Grand Forks as one of six drone test sites in the nation.
