CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus will deliver the commencement address at the University of Virginia this weekend.

The university says the former Mississippi governor and ambassador to Saudi Arabia will speak on the Law after the traditional academic procession Sunday morning. Mabus has been Navy secretary since 2009.

Valedictory exercises are set for Saturday morning on the Lawn. The speaker is Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, a five-time winner of the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award. Manning’s wife, Ashley, is a 1997 U.Va. graduate.

The university says more than 6,300 diplomas will be awarded.
