Guests who stay in the $10,000-per-night posh Alexandrite Suite at the Mansion at Casa Madrona hotel in Sausalito, Calif., have a new luxury amenity at their fingertips: A drone that brings them champagne.
The hotel now has a custom-made, octo-copter drone that brings two bottles of champagne on demand to those who stay in the 5,000 square-foot suite, the New York Post reported.
The drone delivery service is also offered to those who rent the entire 11-room mansion at $25,000 a night.
The costs associated with the drone deliveries aren’t included in the room price. Drinkers pay extra, with the delivery price dependent on the numbers of bottles ordered and the numbers of drones needed, a hotel associate said, the New York Post reported.
The hotel is also looking to find other creative uses for drones, such as delivering cookies and other sought-after items from guests.
