BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities in Buffalo are investigating a barroom beating that has left a New York Air National Guard member in critical condition.

The Buffalo News reports (https://bit.ly/1n3W7nN ) that 28-year-old Tech. Sgt. William C. Sager Jr. of Silver Creek was pummeled and kicked early Sunday morning inside Molly’s Pub, a nightspot popular with students at the nearby University of Buffalo’s South Campus.

The badly injured Sager was found outside the bar and taken to Erie County Medical Center, where he’s listed in critical condition Friday morning.

The Buffalo Police Department is investigating. Calls to the department weren’t returned Friday.

No arrests have been reported.

National Guard officials say Sager is a full-time technician who works on C-130 cargo planes as a member of the 107th Airlift Wing at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station.
