CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia and U.S. flags at state facilities are at half-staff in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin ordered the flags to be lowered from dawn to dusk on Thursday.

Peace Officers Memorial Day is held annually on May 15 in honor of federal, state, and local law enforcement officers who have fallen or been disabled in the line of duty. It is
