SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - University of Illinois trustees have hired a Georgia-based search firm as the university looks for a new president.
The News-Gazette in Champaign reports that (https://bit.ly/RVeAZY ) Parker Executive Search from Atlanta, Georgia, will work with trustees, faculty and others to identify potential candidates to replace President Robert Easter.
Easter plans to retire by June 2015. The university has said it hopes to find a replacement by January.
The university frequently uses Parker Executive Search in its search for high-profile candidates. The company was part of the search that led to hiring Urbana-Champaign campus Athletic Director Mike Thomas and men’s basketball coach John Groce (GROHS).
