It has now been 20 months since four Americans were killed at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya — and the president who promised the most transparent administration in history has yet to release numerous documents about the attack or to allow CIA operatives on the ground there to testify.

It’s far past time for President Obama’s lies and obstruction to cease and for the phony story about the Internet video causing a terrorist attack to be put in the garbage can. The attack started at 3:40 p.m. Eastern time on Sept. 11, 2012. Then-Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton claims she learned of the attack within 20 minutes, at about 4 p.m.

At 5 p.m., Mr. Obama, then-Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey met at the White House, at which time Mr. Panetta informed Mr. Obama of the attack. After the meeting was over, Mr. Panetta and Gen. Dempsey did not hear from Mr. Obama or anybody else at the White House for the reminder of the evening.

Where was Mr. Obama all night long? What was he doing? On May 1, former National Security Administration spokesman Tommy Vietor admitted to Bret Baier on Fox News that Mr. Obama never even entered the White House situation room all night, as the attack continued.

Mr. Obama may be a great fundraiser (he left the next morning for a Las Vegas fundraiser, in fact) and a first-class teleprompter reader, but he deserves an F as commander in chief — and an A for lying.
