ATLANTA (AP) - State labor officials say Georgia’s unemployment rate has remained unchanged at 7 percent from the previous month.
The Georgia Department of Labor on Thursday announced the new seasonally adjusted jobless rate for April, which was unchanged from March.
Labor officials said the 7 percent rate was significantly lower than in April a year ago, when it was 8.3 percent.
State Labor Commissioner Mark Butler said Georgia saw very strong job growth in April, with employers creating 41,300 new jobs.
