BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Funeral services are set for this weekend for the Buffalo native who was one of three people killed when a hot-air balloon hit a power line, burst into flames and crashed in Virginia.
Calling hours for Natalie Lewis are scheduled Friday afternoon and evening at the Amigone (AM’-ih-gawhn) Funeral Home on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo. Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at St. Rose of Lima Church in Buffalo.
The 24-year-old former Buffalo high school swim team star was taking a balloon ride with a University of Richmond co-worker when it hit power lines during a balloon festival in Doswell, Virginia last Friday. The balloon’s pilot, Daniel Kirk, and Richmond women’s basketball assistant coach Ginny Doyle also died.
Lewis was the director of basketball operations for the women’s team.
