HAILEY, Idaho (AP) - A central Idaho man police say is responsible for the disappearance of another man is facing a second-degree murder charge.

The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office says 49-year-old Keith Eric Blankenship of Hailey was taken into custody Wednesday.

Police are not releasing details on what led them to Blankenship.

Authorities say 47-year-old Steve Michael Romanchuk of Hailey was reported missing from his residence on Jan. 15. He has not been found.

Police say his wallet remained in the home, and he didn’t take any extra clothing or camping gear with him.

Authorities located his work truck in February in the Sun Valley Lodge parking lot.
