TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities have identified the victims of a double homicide near a scenic Florida Panhandle trail.

Tallahassee Police say Jason R. Coshatt and Lynette L. Lee were homeless and living with their assailants in the woods across the street from the St. Marks Trail.

Police spokesman Scott Beck tells the Tallahassee Democrat (https://on.tdo.com/1ooANwP ) that the killings didn’t appear to be a domestic issue. Autopsy results are pending.

Joseph Oakes was arrested Monday on two counts of murder. His girlfriend faces two counts of being an accessory after the fact for helping to clean the crime scene.

According to an arrest affidavit, police got a tip about a recorded phone call in which Oakes told his ex-wife that he had killed a man and a woman with a hammer.
