TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The Tulsa Police Department is set to host the first leg of this year’s Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit the Special Olympics of Oklahoma Summer Games.

Tulsa officers will begin their run downtown early Wednesday and will carry the “flame of hope” until they pass the torch to Sand Springs officers.

The torch will be carried westward from there until it reaches Stillwater for the games’ opening ceremonies scheduled Wednesday evening.
