ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) - Police in Utah have arrested a suspected bank robber on a Greyhound bus bound for Las Vegas.

Authorities intercepted the bus south of St. George about 2 a.m. Wednesday and arrested 29-year-old Chris Peek of Lancaster, California.

St. George police say he’s a suspect in the robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank branch in Ogden. They say he allegedly entered the bank just before 4 p.m. Tuesday and passed a note to a teller demanding money.

Police Sgt. Sam Despain tells The (St. George) Spectrum (https://tinyurl.com/mjryu3s ) that Peek was in possession of some money that investigators think they can link to the robbery in Ogden. He’s been booked on a misdemeanor charge of receiving stolen property. His bail has been set at $50,000.
