HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a 27-year-old Lumberton man in Sunday’s shooting in Hattiesburg that left one dead and another wounded.
The Hattiesburg American reports (https://hatne.ws/1iKYIip ) Jarvis Holder was taken into custody Tuesday by Hattiesburg police and Lamar County deputies in Lumberton.
Holder remains in Forrest County Jail charged with one count each of murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery.
Police say Holder was one of two suspects sought in a shooting at an apartment complex.
Forrest County deputy coroner Lisa Klem says 32-year-old Matthew Campbell, of Hattiesburg, was found wounded at the scene Sunday and died a few hours later at a nearby hospital. Klem says Campbell died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
It was unclear whether Holder has an attorney.
