BELO HORIZONTE, Brazil (AP) - Midfielder Ignacio Piatti scored 10 minutes into the match as Argentina’s San Lorenzo held Brazilian champion Cruzeiro to a 1-1 draw to reach the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday.

San Lorenzo advanced 2-1 on aggregate following a 1-0 victory last week in Argentina.

Defender Bruno opened the scoring in the 70th minute, but Cruzeiro needed two more goals at the Mineirao to advance and try to give Brazil its fifth straight Copa Libertadores title. Brazilian clubs had reached the past nine finals.

San Lorenzo, which has Pope Francis as a supporter, can give Argentina its first Libertadores title since Estudiantes beat Cruzeiro in 2009.

Also Wednesday, Nacional of Paraguay reached the semis 1-0 on aggregate after a 0-0 draw against Arsenal de Sarandi in Argentina.
