WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) - A man charged in a shooting death at a northeastern Pennsylvania party last summer has been found guilty of attempted homicide in an unrelated shooting.

Twenty-year-old Joshua Ovalles of Wilkes-Barre has been convicted of shooting a man three times in the city in January 2013.

The Luzerne County jury on Wednesday also found Ovalles guilty of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and a weapons charge in connection with the case.

Ovalles was free on $100,000 bail on the charges in that case when he was arrested and charged in the July 7 shooting death of 24-year-old Vaughn Kemp following an argument at a party in Wilkes-Barre.

Ovalles will be sentenced at a later date by Luzerne County Judge David Lupas.
