EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - A 34-year-old man has been charged in two fatal shootings minutes apart near Michigan State University.
Ricard Taylor was arraigned via video on two counts of murder and five gun-related charges Wednesday afternoon in 54-B District Court in East Lansing.
He was not represented by an attorney at the arraignment.
Police say 35-year-old pharmacist Michael Addo of Mason was killed Monday morning at a Rite Aid store in Lansing Township. Shot minutes later at his East Lansing home was 27-year-old Jordan Rogers. Rogers was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Taylor lived next door to Rogers and was arrested Monday afternoon following a standoff in connection with both shootings.
A preliminary examination is scheduled May 23.
