NEW YORK (AP) - Billy Joel has New York State on his mind.

Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1v3tVXA ) reports that the singer will be part of the state’s tourism summer ad campaign that Gov. Andrew Cuomo is to unveil Wednesday.

In the 30-second video spot Joel says “New York is my home - there’s no place like it in the world.”

He talks about his favorite place - Long Island and its endless beaches, from Long Beach to Montauk to Long Island Sound.

The ad includes shots of the Montauk Point Lighthouse and Joel performing “New York State of Mind” onstage at Madison Square Garden.

The ad is one of a series featuring famous New Yorkers talking about the state. The ads will air in New York and other markets across the country.
