Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas says Obamacare needs to be repealed before lawmakers consider what parts may be worth saving.

NBC affiliate KETK reports that Mr. Gohmert, a Republican, thinks letting children stay on their parents’ health plans until age 26 is among the elements that should stay in place.

But he is not among those in his party who want to simply mend the Affordable Care Act.

“It is doing so much damage to health care. There are things we can agree to that are part of Obamacare,” he said, the TV station reported. “We’ve got to repeal the whole thing, put back in place things we think are good and set up the things I’m talking about where there’s competition.”
