TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A judge has overturned a Tucson police officer’s demotion for taking sexually explicit videos and photos of herself and sending them to another officer.

The Arizona Daily Star (https://ow.ly/wNK2y ) reports that Judge Charles Harrington of Pima County Superior Court reversed the Police Department’s decision to demote former Lt. Diana Lopez to sergeant in 2012.

The judge said Lopez was not given fair notice that her conduct was prohibited and that she could be disciplined for it.

A department investigation found that Lopez took provocative images of herself wearing her uniform shirt and sent them to the other officer, with whom she was in a relationship.

The other officer shared the images with other officers.

The department alleged Lopez violated several department regulations, professional standards and a code of ethics.
