BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A waterfront parcel in Buffalo is officially now a state park.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday designated the Buffalo Harbor State Park as New York’s 180th state park. It’s the first one in Buffalo.

The move is part of larger plans to revitalize the western New York city’s underutilized waterfront. The park will receive $15 million for improvements from the state.

Plans for the space include a carousel and family movie nights.
