BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne has dropped his lawsuit that sought to force the pro-Medicaid expansion group MoveOn.org to remove a roadside billboard that uses Louisiana’s tourism slogan “Pick your Passion” to criticize Gov. Bobby Jindal’s refusal to expand Medicaid.

The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1l9PK0P ) MoveOn responded Tuesday by announcing the billboard on Interstate 10 in Port Allen will stay up through at least November thanks to contributions from MoveOn members across Louisiana and the country.

Dardenne’s dismissal of the suit Monday came five weeks after a federal judge in Baton Rouge refused to order the national advocacy group to take down the billboard.
