LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - The state Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control has suspended the liquor permit of a popular bar on the edge of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s campus.

The Keg was cited with five counts of selling alcohol to underage individuals and five counts of having minors on the premises after an April sting by the agency.

Officials tell The Advocate (https://bit.ly/1iNqsqW ) it was the bar’s fifth time to be cited for underage alcohol sales.

ATC Commissioner Troy Hebert said he revoked the business’s alcohol permit for two years and fined the owners $15,000.

The penalty was handed down after an ATC hearing Monday at the Louisiana State Police headquarters in Lafayette.
