ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities are say a standoff at a southwest Atlanta hotel involves a suspect who’s wanted in connection with several recent violent crimes in DeKalb County.

U.S. Marshals spokesman Gavin Duffy tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Marshals were trying to arrest at least one person at the hotel off of Cleveland Avenue Monday when at least two people barricaded themselves inside a room. Duffy says an Atlanta police SWAT team unit was called in to help negotiate.

On Saturday, a 9-month-old boy was fatally shot and three women were injured during a home invasion in Stone Mountain. Authorities have told local media outlets the incident may have been linked to another shooting in the Atlanta area earlier this month.
