SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Police say a 17-year-old student hacked the computer system of Sioux Falls Catholic schools.

Sam Clemens with the Sioux Falls Police Department says the student is in custody and has been charged with felony intentional damage to property.

Officials with the Catholic schools have said that phone, email and Internet services were shut down Thursday at the O’Gorman junior and senior high schools and at the six Catholic elementary schools in Sioux Falls.

Clemens says the school had to pay about $1,000 to get the system restored.
