NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The weekend was bloody in New Orleans. Police say that from Friday through Sunday, at least 12 people were shot and one was stabbed.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office tells NOLA.com ’ The Times-Picayune (https://bit.ly/1jRJcpp ) that so far, none of the violence was fatal.

Two people were shot in the first incident, Friday afternoon in eastern New Orleans, and in the fourth, in Gentilly. The others all involved single victims. Police say the last was shortly before midnight Sunday, when a woman was shot in the neck in the English Turn neighborhood on the west bank.

There were three shootings Friday, four shootings and the stabbing on Saturday, and three shootings on Sunday.
