AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Federal prosecutors in eastern Georgia say the last of five defendants has pleaded guilty in a sex trafficking ring.
Authorities said Monday that 35-year-old William Warren Hart of Hephzibah pleaded guilty to using interstate commerce to facilitate a business involving prostitution.
Authorities say the prostitution ring involved a 16-year-old runaway girl and operated in the Augusta area in 2013.
Prosecutors say 27-year-old Shelica Daniels, 29-year-old Allison Barnes, 30-year-old Heather Hedrick and 32-year-old Charles Castillo, all of Augusta, have also pleaded guilty to conspiring to engage in the sex trafficking of a minor.
Authorities say Hart had a limited role in the ring and faces up to five years in prison, while the other four defendants could be given a life sentence.
Prosecutors say a sentencing date has not been scheduled.
