DETROIT (AP) - A lawsuit filed by a construction worker says his photo was shown on a TV reality show that mistakenly told viewers he ran from Detroit-area officers and hopped in the back of a stolen limousine.

The man shown fleeing Eastpointe police in a clip aired on MSNBC’s “Caught on Camera: Dash Cam Diaries” is Todd Keith. The person suing is Keith Todd, whose complaint was filed in Wayne County Circuit Court against NBC Universal, the Eastpointe police department and a limousine company.

The 32-year-old from Wyoming, Michigan, says he suffered public humiliation and loss of employment income as a result of the mistaken mugshot.

Eastpointe police tell the Detroit Free Press (https://on.freep.com/1uVmi5z ) they have no control over MSNBC’s programming.

An MSNBC spokeswoman had no comment Monday.
