WESTMINSTER, S.C. (AP) - The Oconee County coroner says a 63-year-old woman likely was walking back from her mailbox when she was struck by a car and died.

Coroner Karl Addis said Sunday that Sandra Faye Dickson of Westminster died Saturday night of blunt force trauma.

Addis says the preliminary investigation suggests Dickson was walking home after picking up mail for herself and a family member when she was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound.

He classified the death as accidental. The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating.
