DERBY, England (AP) - Derby is one victory away from a return to the Premier League after a six-year absence thanks to a 4-1 win over Brighton in second-tier League Championship playoffs on Sunday.

Derby won the playoff semifinal 6-2 on aggregate and will play either Wigan or Queens Park Rangers at Wembley Stadium on May 24.

It means a return to Wembley for Derby manager Steve McClaren, the former England coach who was fired by the national team in 2007 after barely a year in charge.

Wigan and QPR are tied 0-0 after the first leg.

Derby last played in the Premier League in 2008, when it was relegated with a record-low 11 points.
