YOKOHAMA, Japan (AP) - Sagan Tosu kept its lead in the J-League with a 2-1 win over Yokohama F Marinos on Saturday, with Kim Min-woo and Kei Ikeda scoring first-half goals.
Kim opened in the ninth minute and Ikeda doubled the lead six minutes later with a header that beat Yokohama goalkeeper Tetsuya Enomoto.
Shunsuke Nakamura cut the deficit to 2-1 with a long-range effort in the final minute of regulation time.
In other matches, Urawa Reds beat Omiya Ardija 2-0 to move into second place, one point behind Tosu.
Champions Sanfrecce were held 1-1 by Shimizu S-Pulse with Milivoje Novakovic canceling out Hiroshima defender Tsukasa Shiotani’s 14th-minute effort. Pedro Junior scored the lone goal to give Vissel Kobe a 1-0 win over Ventforet Kofu.
Yoshito Okubo boosted his chances for selection to Japan’s World Cup squad, scoring twice as Kawasaki Frontale thrashed Kashima Antlers 4-1.
Bottom club Tokushima Vortis played out a 0-0 draw with FC Tokyo.
Also, Hiroyuki Abe and Kotaro Omori scored second-half goals to lead Gamba Osaka to a 2-1 win over Nagoya Grampus. Nagoya defender Marcus Tulio Tanaka scored for the hosts with three minutes left.
