PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Pittsburgh Steelers have historically found success in the later rounds of the NFL draft. They’ll have plenty of opportunities to do it again during the final four rounds on Saturday.
The Steelers have six picks on the last day of the draft. They’ll likely be looking for depth at wide receiver and cornerback. They’ve discovered talent there before. Pro Bowl wide receiver Antonio Brown was taken in the sixth round in 2010.
Pittsburgh spent the first three rounds focusing on speed. They grabbed linebacker Ryan Shazier from Ohio State in the first round, defensive end Stephon Tuitt of Notre Dame in the second and running back and return man Dri Archer from Kent State in the third.
