AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - A woman who was on prescription drugs at the time of a Central Texas wreck that killed her 4-year-old daughter must serve five years in prison.
A judge in Austin on Friday sentenced 32-year-old Shea Goss.
Prosecutors say Goss was impaired during the February 2013 traffic accident in Austin killed her daughter, Averee, and left the woman’s two other children hurt. The Goss SUV hit some trees.
Goss last month pleaded guilty to intoxication manslaughter and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. An affidavit says officers recovered prescription pain and muscle relaxant medications from the vehicle.
