GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - After taking a safety and lineman to fortify the defense, the Packers could use Day 3 of the NFL draft to add an inside linebacker.
It was one of the positions of need that the team didn’t fill during the first two days of the draft.
Florida State’s Christian Jones or Stanford’s Shayne Skov could be possibilities when final day of the draft resumes Saturday. Green Bay has five picks, beginning with 21st pick of the fourth round.
The Packers could also add depth on the offensive line after losing starting center Evan Dietrich-Smith and backup tackle Marshall Newhouse in free agency.
Interior linemen available include North Carolina’s Russell Bodine, Stanford’s David Yankey and an in-state prospect, Wisconsin’s Ryan Groy.
