SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - One of two Pennsylvania men charged with killing a man whose body was found shot in an SUV at the bottom of a ravine last summer has been convicted of third-degree murder and conspiracy.

Saturday’s verdict in Lackawanna County means 23-year-old Jason Dominick faces up to 20 to 40 years in prison on each count when he’s sentenced in a few months.

Dominick and 23-year-old Neil Pal are accused in the death of 24-year-old Frank Bonacci, whose body was found in the vehicle at the bottom of a ravine near Nay Aug Park in Scranton about a week after all three men were at a party in July.

Pal’s trial is scheduled next month.

Dominick has claimed Pal shot the victim. Prosecutors say Dominick shot Bonacci because the victim was dating his ex-girlfriend.
