ST. LOUIS (AP) - Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit St. Louis with Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell.
The White House said Saturday in a release that Biden and Jewell will be in St. Louis on Tuesday and will visit the CityArchRiver project at the Gateway Arch. Biden’s expected to discuss the project and the economy.
CityArchRiver is a massive construction project designed to better link downtown St. Louis and the Gateway Arch. The project’s original completion date of 2015 has been pushed back a year. The $380 million in expected improvement costs includes $90 from a bond measure approved by city and county voters in April 2013.
CityArchRiver organizers said last month they had so far raised more than $178 million in private donations.
