ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Firefighters say an Albuquerque apartment fire has left one family unable to return home.

Fire department officials say crews found heavy smoke coming from an apartment shortly around 12:45 p.m. but were able to get the fire under control within 15 minutes.

They say firefighters were also able to save dogs that were inside the unit and reunite them with the family.

Crews say no injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Red Cross has been called to assist the family.

The fire comes a day after a blaze tore through two buildings at another Albuquerque apartment complex, displacing 12 families.
