FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a woman nearly at the end of her prison sentence for making bomb threats has been arrested after threatening to kill a judge, his family and public defenders in Florence County.

State Law Enforcement Division agents said they arrested 35-year-old Veda Blevins on Wednesday at a state women’s prison in Columbia.

Agents say she confessed to sending three letters in April to the judge, threatening to kill him and his family. She also sent a letter in January threatening to blow up the public defender’s office in Florence and kill all the lawyers inside.

Blevins was serving a 40-month sentence for making bomb threats. Corrections Department records show she was set to be released on May 27.

It wasn’t known if she had a lawyer.
