PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The National Weather Service says there could be some flooding in streams or areas with poor drainage in Rhode Island.

A flood watch is in effect throughout the state until 6 p.m. Thursday.

The weather service says that while the worst of the rain has moved offshore, there could be additional rainfall Wednesday and some areas of heavy rain, as well as thunderstorms.
