TROY, Ohio (AP) - A not guilty plea has been entered for a former western Ohio high school band director to charges involving sexual conduct with female students.
John Shook is serving 7 1/2 years in prison for his conviction last year in Logan County. Shook was accused of misconduct with three students and convicted of sexual battery, gross sexual imposition and attempted sexual battery.
Shook is charged in Miami County with two counts of sexual battery against two female students at a Covington high school in 2005.
Miami County Prosecutor Anthony Kendell said Thursday that a judge in Troy entered the not guilty plea on Shook’s behalf.
Shook doesn’t have an attorney listed.
Kendell says the 35-year-old Shook could be sentenced to 10 additional years if convicted of both new counts.
